A 9-year-old schoolgirl has been announced as the new patron of Camp Beagle, the UK’s leading campaign group dedicated to ending the inhumane breeding of puppies for toxicology testing. Isabelle Keane is committed to animal welfare and found out about the campaign from her Nan who is passionate about the ethical treatment of animals.

She has already written to Prime Minister Keir Starmer twice to ask for his help and has been busy making powerful video clips for the Camp Beagle social media pages.

In addition, she recently visited the LUSH store in Merry Hill, Birmingham, to raise awareness.

Isabelle said: “I’m really excited to help Camp Beagle. Puppies should be happy and safe, not used for toxicology testing.

“I believe we can make a difference if we all work together to protect animals and show that kindness is the way forward. It is time to find other ways to test products without hurting animals.”

In her new role, Isabelle will support Camp Beagle’s mission to end the suffering of these animals, promote ethical alternatives, and rally public support for policy changes.

She will participate in campaigns, public speaking engagements, and fundraising efforts aimed at increasing awareness and achieving the group’s objectives.
