Van driver dies after A428 crash near Eltisley in South Cambridgeshire
HGV driver arrested after fatal crash
A man has died following a collision on the A428 near Eltisley in South Cambridgeshire yesterday evening (12 August). The man, who was in his 60s, was driving a Vauxhall Vivaro van when he was involved in a collision with an HGV and a Ford Laika at about 4.50pm.
Emergency services attended and he was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where he died this morning.
The road was closed, and no other injuries were reported.
The driver of the HGV, a 53-year-old man from Doncaster, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in custody.
