‘Blood on pavement’ as part of Wisbech town centre cordoned off by police

Man attacked in Wisbech town centre, Cambridgeshire

Church Terrace, Wisbech, was cordoned off by Cambridgeshire police today after an overnight assault that left a man injured and covered in blood.

Cars remained inside the cordon whilst police investigated: the cordon was removed mid-morning.

Few details of the incident have been released.

A passer-by told CambsNews: “There is lots of blood on the pavement.”

However, CambsNews has been told that the victim was left battered and bruised after being kicked.
