A list of 14 taxi and private hire drivers who had their licenses suspended or revoked in the past two months has been drawn up by Huntingdonshire District Council.

And half have been involved in accidents, the licensing and protection committee will be told on September 28.

Three of the drivers have since had their suspension removed but the list includes one private hire and one dual (allowed to drive both private hire and hackney carriages) whose licenses were revoked.

Both had been disqualified from driving and did not appeal the interim licensing manager’s decision.

The manager, Michelle Bishop, has delegated authority to refuse, suspend or revoke private hire and hackney carriage drivers and vehicle licences.

Two private hire drivers had been licence revoked for not repairing his vehicle within the 60 days allowed.

Councillors will be asked to note the report.

They will also be told the council “has no outstanding licensing decisions that are awaiting a court date”.
