Calum Jones of Cardiff charged with assisting an offender
A third man has been charged in connection with the murder of 31-year-old Josh Barr of Cambridge. His family described Josh as “caring, strong and a fighter. Everyone that met him said he had such a kind soul.
“He was a loving son and was dearly loved by us all. He was a ray of sunshine.”
On March 10 police were called shortly after 5am to reports of a stabbing in Carlton Way, Cambridge.
Josh, of Victoria Road, was found in Ferrars Way with stab wounds and despite best efforts of paramedics, was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Friday, Calum Jones, 21, of The Boulevard, Canton, Cardiff, was charged with assisting an offender and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
He has been remanded to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 12 August.
Cameron Stokes, 23, of Highfield Close, Dinas Powys, South Wales and Tyler Marshall, 19, of no fixed address, were charged with Mr Barr’s murder in March and remanded in custody until a trial is due to take place in September.
A post mortem examination concluded that Josh died from a stab wound to the chest.
