Ideal World TV set for return after Peterborough channel collapsed into administration
The Peterborough-based TV shopping channel Ideal World was taken off air, suspending broadcasting with immediate effect back in July
Ideal World TV is set for a sensational TV return after a German and US shopping channel company bought the Peterborough-based broadcaster’s assets. Making the shock announcement on social media late on Tuesday night (September 26), the channel’s official account wrote they were “thrilled” ahead of their comeback.
“Guess who’s back,” they shared on Instagram. “We’re thrilled to announce that we’re back on air this Friday, 29th September at 6am! Tune in to Freeview 51, Sky 668, or Freesat 810 to catch all the latest in in your favourite lifestyle goodies!
“But wait, there’s more! We’re also airing daily on 5USA from 6am to 9am and on 5USA +1 from 7am to 10am. We’ve missed you and can’t wait to welcome you back! #BackOnAir #SeeYouSoon”

Vaibhav Global Limited announced in a press release that they bought Ideal World TV’s assets. “Shop TJC Ltd (UK), a wholly owned subsidiary of Vaibhav Global Limited, today announced that it has successfully executed an Asset Sale Agreement to acquire assets of Ideal World Ltd,” the notice reads.
Through this agreement, Shop TJC will acquire Ideal World’s “IP rights, broadcasting rights, studio equipment along with other intangible assets”. The transaction will be funded through “internal accruals”.
Sunil Agrawal, managing director of Vaibhav Global Limited said: “We welcome Ideal World to VGL group. Over the years Ideal World has created a unique position for itself in the teleshopping industry. We expect this transaction to create synergies and help us continue market leading growth.”
